Als ich vor über 30 Jahren die erste Spiegelreflexkamera geschenkt bekam, konnte ich damals nicht ahnen, welche Freude und Begeisterung das Fotografieren mir über viele Jahre bescheren würde.
Ich hatte auch das Glück, Liebhaber und Experten der Fotografie kennen zu lernen, die mich behutsam und mit viel Engagement - mehr oder weniger erfolgreich - in die Geheimnisse des Fotografierens einweihten.
Diesen Ratgebern und nicht zuletzt meiner Frau danke ich für die jahrelange bewiesene Geduld. Ihnen und allen fotobegeisterten Freunden und Mitmenschen widme ich diese Seiten.

When I was given my first single lens reflex camera more than 30 years ago, I had no idea how much joy and pleasure photography would bring me over the years.
I was fortunate enough to make the acquaintance of passionate and expert photographers who gently, and with much enthusiasm, initiated me – more or less successfully – into the secrets of the art of photography.
I would like to thank these mentors and also my wife for their many years of patience. It is to them and all my friends and other photography enthusiasts that I would like to dedicate these pages.
